I keep going back to the places my old friends used to go but they've all moved on.
There are a million things on one's mind in the morning.
One or two things I always do in the morning set me back.
I never know how honest to be because it gets in the way of having fun.
If I had all the money I needed how would it change me?
The answer won't come unless I move on.

Then there's always those seventies song that are so melancholy.
You might use them if you feel better when you get home.

I want to go back to the places where my old friends used to go
But I'm as stationary as a railroad tie,
Unsatisfied, and I want to hide, so I move on to better things.
I don't care how much money I'll need.
I don't care how honest I should be,
Because the answers won't come unless I move on.

Then there's always those seventies songs that are so melancholy.
You might use them if you feel better when you get home.
All the young dudes, boogaloo dudes,
Na na na na, na na na na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye.

texts used:
David Bowie, "Move On"
Steely Dan, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number"
Na na na na, na na na na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye.
